I was born in Christchurch, New Zealand some 32 years ago......here are a few shots of the place I called home for the first 24 years of my life........and in a way still do...... Christchurch, New Zealand Cathedral Square, Christchurch City The Gondola, Port Hills, Christchurch New Brighton Beach, Christchurch The Avon River, Christchurch New Regent Street, Christchurch Cashel Street Mall, Christchurch City Floral Clock, Christchurch City Akaroa, (about one hour from ChCh) Hamner Springs Thermal Resort, 2 hrs inland Christchurch, for obvious reasons is known as the "Garden City". It has a very English feel to it with many older historical buildings dating back to the late 1800's Much of it's popularity is due to the fact that everything is within easy reach (much the same as all of New Zealand really). Skiing is only about 2 hours away by car, beaches only 15 or so minutes. The South Island of New Zealand abounds with many beautiful sights and sounds.
